Equinox’s slogan, “It’s not fitness. It’s life,” is taking on new meaning in the wake of the high-end gym’s connection to a fundraiser for Donald Trump.
Billionaire Stephen Ross, chairman and founder of Related Companies — which owns both Equinox and SoulCycle — has faced major backlash this week for the fundraiser for President Trump taking place at his Hamptons home on Friday. Tickets for the fundraiser cost up to $250,000.
Celebrities like Billy Eichner, Chrissy Teigen, and Jonathan Van Ness called for people to boycott both Equinox and SoulCycle, and cancelled their own memberships.
